Refund Policy

Our principle

You should not pay us for work we have not done. Our refund rules are written to be applied predictably, not case by case at our discretion.

Before filing is submitted

If you cancel before we submit documents to a state agency or the IRS, we refund 100% of our service fee. Simply email James@llc.jenhargis.com with your order reference. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

After preparation but before submission

If we have completed drafting and you cancel before submission, we refund the service fee less a preparation charge of $75, reflecting work already performed.

After filing is submitted

Once documents are with the state or the IRS, our service fee is earned and is not refundable. Government filing fees are never refundable at any stage, because state agencies do not return them to us.

If we make a mistake

If a filing is rejected because of an error on our side, we correct it and refile at our own expense, including any additional government fee. If the error cannot be corrected, we refund our service fee in full.

Rejections outside our control

Where a filing is rejected because of inaccurate information supplied by you, or because the state changed a requirement after submission, we will refile for a reduced administration fee of $49 plus any new government fee.

Recurring services

Registered agent service is billed annually and never renews automatically. If you cancel within 30 days of a renewal you have paid for and we have not yet received documents on your behalf, we refund the renewal in full.

Chargebacks

Please contact us before initiating a chargeback. Nearly every dispute we see is resolved by email within a day, and a chargeback filed against an already-submitted government fee cannot recover that fee from the state.

How to request a refund

Email James@llc.jenhargis.com with your name, order reference and the reason for the request, or call +1 (415) 774-0601 during business hours. We acknowledge every request within one business day and confirm the outcome in writing.
